I have never been I’m thinking about going this year it’s about a 41/2 hour drive, just wanted you all’s thought’s and is it worth it. I did hear it is huge.
Not really sure, I have heard good things too. I might go but I’m in IA and that’s a loooooong drive if I’m going to be honest.

If you’re into O-gauge, you won’t be disappointed. It’s one of the two shows I always make it a point to attend.
I went to my first York last year and wrote an article with some thoughts. You might find it useful: 6 things I learned at the TCA Eastern Division York Show - Trains
That’s not bad, especially if you’re a TCA member and have access to all the exhibition halls. But if you’re not you’ll only have access to the Orange Hall and honestly I don’t think it’d be worth it. What you’d see in the Orange Hall is what you’d see at any large train show.
It’s a five hour drive for me (depending on traffic) and considering I’m a TCA member I think it’s worth it, in my case anyway. I’ve found some good deals in the “Members Only” halls.
And not just O, there’s a good S Gauge presense and Standard Gauge as well. HO and N Gauges are starting to make inroads (Which in my opinon is a GOOD thing! I’m a believer in the “Big Tent” concept.) and there’s typically a good assortment of Pre-Wars available as well.
Were I in your situation I wouldn’t bother. York’s great but it’s not THAT great.
Maybe for a once in a lifetime thing just to say you’ve done it but that’s all.
I’d love to see the Amherst Society trainshow in Massachusetts myself, it looks great, but I just can’t justify the drive.
reneschweitzer thank you for the reply I will definitely look at your article.
