Greetings all. It’s tiger lily season here:
I want to model a field of them and here’s my test:
Basically, green construction paper for the leaves, floral wire for the stems, and orange ground foam for the flowers.
Any other ideas?

What scale are you in. I’m guessing HO, so will aim at that.
First, the leaves are much to wide. Since the real things often bend over double under their own weight, so, if some of them are bent, it’s normal.
Seccond, did you twist the wires together for the flower stems? Again, they look too heavy. How about a stiffer wire, like paino wire of an appropriate size. You should be able to curve it a little to give it a natural look,
For the actual flowers, would a courser ground foam look better? Another thought might be to dip the tips in wax or glue to build up the diameter of the wire, then put a fine foam on.
Just some thoughts.

Daylilies! What a great idea. With sun and water, they can reach 5 feet tall. They have in my yard.
Perhaps some stripped insulation from green wire would do for the leaves (or other colors and painted). It might even hold a curve. The flowers should be a bit more independent - perhaps a few strands of wire splayed out and each topped with the foam.
