I have an N gauge set labeled AURORA on the box.The engine is a TOMIX 2615 and is missing the front and rear trucks. The set is a streamliner and I guess the engine goes in the middle of the train as it connects to the cars with a vestibule on each end.It appears to be modeled after a Japanese train. The engine doesn’t have a pantagraph , therefore I assume it’s a diesel, however some of the passenger cars have pantagraphs. However it does have windows…
Can you help me?

N gauge? Ohhhhh, you mean N SCALE. I’ll bet ya it’s either an electric bullet train or a japanease comuter train (electric). The engines didn’t always have pantographs. Some elec. trains had pantos on the cars and the power was transfered to the locomotive. Hope this helps!
Yes it is N scale and is a model of the Japanese bullet train. The problem is that the trucks on the power train are missing. Can they be replaced or is the engine availavle and at what cost?Hope you can help?.
Hmm, They could probably be replaced with trucks from a modern model. Anyone want to help me out?
You might want to look up Mokei Imports in St. Louis, Missouri, who might haqndle Tomix products.
With Japanese trains N gauge is the correct term. Tomix is 1:150 as most trains in Japan are 3ft6in gauge. Tomix trains still use the 9mm N gauge track.
A good source of Tomix equipment is Hobby Search in Tokyo.

Generally Japanese manufacturers do not offer parts. Models are produced on very short runs that frequently sell-out. It’s a very different market.
This is a good N Scale Traction source…

There are almost 200 hits on a “tomix” search.
I’m sorry, but I don’t know where you can get replacement trucks, but I thought I would give you a little more information about the train. The “engine” is not an engine but a passenger car. On the real bullet trains, the engines are on each end, but on the Tomix models, the engines are dummies and the center passenger car is powered.
