Well it hit me like a 2X4 square between the eyes today!
I counted the Engines and counted the ones on the defect list and damn it! It’s becoming too much like real life [:S]
Yep I need a full crew to keep up with the maintenance, that or I retire and take on a full time job catching up on the MESS. That or I just have fun tinkering. I opt for the latter and will have to become less anal in my latter career.
Life’s too short not to enjoy the little victories and accomplishments.
Just some musings on the MESS this quiet but cold Sunday February Eve.
You’re right, life is too short to worry about little messes. I worked on some shelving today to clean up some of mine. May work out when I have time to sort the stuff to put on them. I’d really like to be able to find my workbench surface.
Since having fun is the point of a hobby, I’ll go with the flow and do some occasional cleaning when I’ve had my fill of fun for the day (or need to thaw out or dry out by the woodstove).
Guys,I learned that lesson years ago .I keep parts on hand so,if old # 33 needs fixing I can fix it…No busted locomotive goes into dead storage…It goes to the shops for immediate repair.
