Anybody using them? In what quantity? And most importanat are they worth it? We need 78 of them so you see where the worth comment comes from.
Thank you
I use the NCE Switch-It’s on my Tortise machines. I don’t need the feedbach feature of the Hare. The Switch-It permits the use of momentary switches to operate and also can be controlled by the CAB control as they are stationary decoders. They cost much less that Hare’s and each Switch-It can controled two separateTortise machines .
Very easy to program and install.
I use the Tortoise motors, but have not tried using the Hare. The Hare is rather expensive, and all it provides are panel/DCC Tortoise control and automatic turnout control if the switch is set wrong. Maybe if I had some kind of reverse loop configuration, I might be interested in this last feature. There are other solutions to the dual control of the Tortoise(panel or DCC). In my case, I am not sold on the direct DCC control of the turnouts from my throttle(too many numbering issues/limitations). Most of my turnouts are thrown the ‘old fashioned’ way - with a Caboose Industries switch stand. I like to do the ‘work’ as I operate.

Thank you. I have 10 ground throws that are close to the edge of the layout. The NCE sounds like an answer. I have a Digitraz DS44 and (2) Digitrax DS52 the DS44 is plain Jayne with no panel feedback the DS52 has feedback but only Handels 2 turnouts but they are NOT as expensive as the Hare.
This is good infromation Thank you again.
