Track Testing, new pictures

I am track testing everything on the track work I have done over the last few months. Mostly trouble free, except for one or two finicky cars. It runs well!

This LGB F7 is huge! If I remember the reviews, they said it may be as large as 1:26 ! Notice that I have it running with various LGB and Bachmann and Aristo/ Delton cars. It’s o.k. to mix and match cars and scales.
Have fun with it!

The question today is: how many trains can I load onto my track? The answer is 4 on the new section.

I never really thought of myself as an operations person, but I have discovered this can be as much fun as the trains themselves!

This shows my Carpet G scale railway at my Semaphore stop! I love the LGB Signal system! You can have fun even on an indoor layout !!!

Thomas,
So cool! Love the train and the Hamburg car! And the semaphore. I have one German lok, the LGB 2085d. I would someday like to get LGB’s Harz 2-10-2 t, or maybe Piko’s BR50, but they have been out of my price range so far…
I buy second hand LGB engines when I find them.
Thank you for showing your great setup!

Wow nice Paul! A 2085d!! That’s a gorgeous steamer. Yes I buy second hand too although it would be nice to own a Saxon meyer or Harz monster!!! We can always dream!!

Oh yes, the Saxon engine. Very nice! I have been buying Swiss trains. I have a small but growing collection….I am starting to taper off, because I have too much already…I tend to like just about everything!

Yes the LGB F7 Has such a chunky loveable look to it, it’s much bigger than the MTH version. But if you own LGB cars it’s right at home. The old Aristo craft line was nice size too it fit well in size with the LGB stuff. Bachmann has released some Aristo but with of course huge price tags…sigh. I loved the LGB Rio Grande version I hope Marklin gets wise and releases a bunch of F7s without sound (but with option). I wasn’t thrilled about the $3k “stainless plated” F7…I rather they put out the cheaper stuff.

Yes, the LGB. F7 is a bit oversized, but I love it to pieces! My only MFX engine, but the sounds are really nice.Generally, most of my stuff runs in “Stealth” mode, without sound. But the F7 sounds great.I have a lot of older engines,no decoder.

Hello there.

Trying to get back to read the posts after a few months away.

BTW, I have a 7 ft long by 28 inches high piece of trestle, made up by 7 bents.

I’m giving it away free.

I’m in New York, in Queens, if anyone wants it, let me know.
