After years of working in TV documentaries (mostly for the German networks), I’ve finally made a film straight from the heart—about us model railroaders.
“Train Crazy – Modeled Happiness (with a Bit of Despair)” follows 500 enthusiasts as they come together to build one of the largest modular HO layouts in Europe—in just 24 hours.
The film captures the joy, madness, meticulousness, and occasional heartbreak that goes into our favorite hobby.
Whether you’re into DCC, scratch-building, prototypical operations, or just watching trains roll through perfect scenery, I think you’ll find something in it that resonates.
