so what do you think[?][?][?][?][?] Tim
The actual ‘street’ price depends. Most of the best ‘day to day’ deals are from the multitude of internet/mail order dealers. Most ‘train show’ dealers have to figure in their travel cost/table rental/overnight lodging/food and the price may reflect this addition cost on the dealer’s table. That said, I do find a lot of really good deals at train shows, mainly from dealers who are closing out item they bought too heavy in. The trick to to find something you are looking for, not because it is a ‘good deal’…

New products are usually comperable in price to what you get online. What I love to look for is people selling thier old stuff. The best things to look for in my opinion are used engines and cars that are still in good shape, but cheap.
always seems the sellers are dumping stuff I got 25 proto 2000 boxcars and gondolas and the price was only $5 each
not to mention the displays hmmm
yummy

Train shows are a great place to find people dumping stuff for cheap, I have bought many intermountain and proto 2000 and atlas covered hoppers for $5-$10. I have also found soem Kato Ho scale sd40’s for $50 each, that was a pretty good deal for me
