Trains Forum Rates a link from Drudge Report

Forum Discussion link:

While surfing the Drudge Report this date, I found a larticle referencing the linked discussion about the AMTRAK Problems with the VIPR Teams and TSA.

Clicked on the link and sure enough up poped our Discussion…Imagine THAT. [:^)]

Just looked and the "views’ for this specific Thread are at 99,199 ! @ 1715 CST SSSHHHEESSSHH!

EDIT: At 2015 CST the number was at 116,845 ! YIKES! Whoodda thunk?

Final EDIT: Apparently, link was pulled from DRUDGE REPORT between 2030 and 2100 CST

at 2110 CST Tally was at 121,838 Views. Maybe things will now start getting back to normal, Here? [bow]

Maybe that’s why - 99,000 extra hits ! - the Kalmbach Forum server seems to be so slow and unresponsive tonight . . . ? [:-^]

Thank you for mentioning this… spent last 2 hours trying to figure out why there was such a major slowness… Thank you…

At 9:35 PM, up to 117,000 hits. Still 42,000 short of the “Sunset Route” thread, although it’s up to 95 pages since 2008 and the TSA thread is only two pages since the 4th of March…

Googled “Don Phillips & TSA & Savannah” and got 619,000 hits. Word gets around.

deleted duped post. (samfp1943)

Here is the link to Don Phillips article:

http://www.prisonplanet.com/amtrak-chief-targets-tsa-for-conducting-illegal-grope-downs.html

Went in and did a fast search for the Don Phoillips by-lined article and found a copy of Don’s TRAINS bty-line dated 03/07/2011 and it has a video embedded in it of the TSA VIPR TEAM searching a group of "Dangerous Passengers" at Savanah’s Train Station (emphasis is mine).

Amazing that those TSA types can do that with a straight face.[oX)]

Almost 124,000 at ten to eleven, Eastern time.

Also starting to attract some “one and done” posters.

Quite the dust-up.

It sure is amazing how a couple of lines on Drudge attracted so many folks to this FORUM.

At 1630 rs CST the numbers are around 149,900_ views and they pulled the link last night between 2030 and 2100 CST. Noticed a few first time commenters here as well.

But the speed here seems to be better tonight than it was last night! Maybe we need to buy the Web dudes and dudettes some beers! [B][B][B][B][D][D] [swg]

One thing that strikes me as strange is that Drudge linked to the forum and not to the original article…

The News Wire is limited to Trains Magazine Subscribers. I think a link to the original article would have only brought up a screen seeking a login.

It is pretty obvious, if one thinks about it, that one of the forum participants tipped off Drudge. It seems unlikely that Drudge and his staff would be lurking in a Trains forum.

I certainly can’t say how Drudge got a prompt to post the link, but I doubt that was the sole source of the hits on the thread. Using Google search, I found about 40 sites that referenced the article.

No doubt there are many sites, and people who write or run the sites that have an interest in digging up dirt on the activities of the TSA. All they have to do to find items on the subject is to run a frequent search of the internet. No lurking necessary.

14361 clicks from Fark as of right now.

Matt Drudge does sometimes dredge up some interesting muck but it’s unfortunate that Trains.Com is hot linked on Prisonplanet , a site that belongs to Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones who believes that George W. Bush blew up the Twin Towers (he has both Lefty and Rightist followers as he also promotes conspiracy theories about Obama and the Clintons). The same Alex Jones that is Charlie Sheen’s good buddy…

I would think most of his followers would mainly be interested in Trains.com for stories related to “FEMA shackle boxcars” (Jones has promoted that theory as well)…

Hee hee. Just provided my chuckle for the day.

And reminded me of a YouTube video a guy shot of a single head searchlight signal. As he walked around it, he postulated about how it was supposedly part the control system for trains (undoubtely made up of those white boxcars with shackles…) taking people to one of the many internment camps the conspiracy theorists are certain exist around the country.

Hee hee.

I’d be more interested in the Femen shackle boxcars…
