Are they going hire DEAF employees? I doubt it. 25 years I tried and corporation freak out.

They are just hire 5,000 people because older people are retire this year or next year. so they need to hire these people.

There is also work being done on the bridge across Mud Bay in BC. New pre-cast concrete sections being installed.

5,000 new, good paying railroad jobs. Kudos to BNSF.

A crew from Havre MT is busy rebuilding the line from Sedro-Woolley - Sumas WA. They told me the weather was so cold on the Hi Line in Montana that the railroad sent them west. They spent two weeks servicing and rebuilding their equipment before they slowly started North. They appear to be crawling along at about one mile per day. I’m wondering if the traffic boom is going to result in trains bypassing Surrey BC and heading directly from the CP and CN

At the same time Harrison laid off 4550 CP employees and 400 locomotives.

Where do I sign up for a job with them? I’m ready now. I’ve been welding at Caterpillar but my heart is on the rails.

Bet Union Pacific wishes Buffet would have bought them.

Expansion? BNSF needs to fix the line between Great Falls and Helena, MT to become whole.

Smart move for BNSF and Warren Buffet. Spend money to make money. But spend wisely.

Long term investment in safety and future. Consider the number of jobs to produce 500 locomotives, and the railroad will add 5000 jobs in 2014. Consider what the Industry is doing in 2014, for the future. RT$

Any truth to the rumor that some of the locos will have cab signals so they can run through on oil trains on the NS?

UP needs to focus on new Cline oilfields in West Texas discovered by Apache Energy. Might be bigger than Bakken and little cold weather.
