Two drunks were walking down the street, when suddenly, one lost his
balance falling into the subway stairwell. Upon his climb back up to his
partner, he proclaimed “Good grief!! You should see the layout in that
guy’s basement!!”
Hmmm… mildly funny, but its probably too early.
Ha ha. I actually giggled at that. And since I just woke up, thats pretty good. My wfie will get a kick, she always loves hearing about “train humor”
Of course, that could be interpreted to mean, “You should have seen me do a half-Gainer and land on my feet.” Now that’s a layout!
I believe the original form involved a drunk looking for a bathroom in New York’s Waldorf Astoria hotel. After descending a flight of stairs and opening a door, he scrambled back to lobby level and told his friend, “You should see the layout in the basement!”
(For those unfamiliar with Gotham City, the Waldorf doesn’t have a basement. It’s built over the throat of Grand Central Station.)
