Absolutey one of the great tools made. For sure get one and use it, you will be amazed how well the cars roll.

Buy it, you won’t be sorry. Between the metal wheels and a truck tuner you’ll notice quite a difference in how many more cars your locomotives can pull.

ABsolutely worth it. Not every truck needs it, but on those that do, it makes a HUGE difference. FOr example, I just built a 6-pack of Accurail hoppers. That’s 12 trucks. 4 of them, I put metal wheels in, gave them a spin, and they just kept right on spinning. The other 8 had at least 1 axle where I put the metal wheels in, gave them a spin - and they stopped like the brakes were on. Pulled out the wheels, in when The Tool, a few spins, put the wheels back in - and now when spun, they kept right on spinning.

Indeed, a very handy and useful little tool. You’ll find that in the majority of cases your trucks, no matter what the brand, will roll more freely after utilizing the Truck Tuner.

I have the REBOXX version, best doggone investment I ever made for my HO fleet.I just wish there was a N scale version.

Terry, when I was much greener than I am today, my LHS owner slipped one of these into one of my bags after I had made a bunch of costly purchases (on startup). He said it would come in very handy. Well, he wasn’t kidding. Between a good soldering iron, a good airbrush, an NMRA gauge, and this truck tool, you can get a lot of quality time on your layout and in general modelling.

It is a must to drag long trains. I have all so be able to get my old cheap cars to run like the good stuff because of the truck tuner. New Proto 2000 wheel set, tuned truckes, Kadee Couplers and pocket, correct coupler height and NMRA weight standards and they track great and are free wheeling!

Pulling a 55 car drag as I type. Led car is a cheap Bachmann that had plastics wheels set. Sure could not have done that out of the box.
