Trying to find Unusual Marx O-Gauge Train Track w/ Plastic Roadbed

Hi All!
I have a childhood Allstate/Sears O gauge set made by Marx, it came with the O-Gauge Train Track w/ Black Plastic Roadbed that I am trying to get up and running again. However, I have two straight pieces of track that are missing the plastic road bed. So far I have been unsuccessful in finding any of this track.
Does anyone know where to find this track for sale?
I have searched eBay and Etsy with no luck, also I can only find a few references to it existing and it being called the Roadbed Track.
I appreciate any help anyone can give in locating any of this track. Preferably straight sections.

Welcome to the forum, oldmanmarxcollector!

I see it listed on eBay.

This is the track I am looking for, preferably the straight track. I have not seen this track anywhere on ebay. But if you see a posting, share the link.

Thank You

I am looking for the straight sections of this track in the picture, If you have a link please share it.

Ahh, that photo helps a lot.

That’s a bit different than what’s on eBay. Sorry.

I see that some was recently sold on Worth Point.

Welcome aboard oldmanmarxcollector! There are quite a few Marxists on the forum and if it’s available one of them may know how to get it!

It occurs to me that, since the roadbed is made so an ordinary piece of Marx track snaps in, he could 3D-print straight sections to match the color of his curves. By filling up some of the space under the roadbed with struts he might reduce the running noise, too..

I had no idea Marx had made this plastic roadbed for O27 track. I have a bunch of Marx HO scale track which uses its own style of snap-on plastic roadbed. Unfortunately, of course, completely incompatible, being an entirely different scale.

Will be a challenge finding some, but not impossible.

Ne neither. I had the Marx 027 “Tales of Wells Fargo” set in the 1960s but that plastic roadbed didn’t come with it.

1961 Sears Christmas wish book:

Allstate HO trains had roadbed track in 1960.

More pictures for reference. I was born in 1962, and I know I did not get this set till 1970 or 71. My set was the New Hampshire Freight set similar to the one shown in the screen capture with the rocket car. Except mine did not come with the rocket car, it was a crane.
I thought you all may want to see a little more, I zoomed in on the Marx stamped into the back of the road bed.

Here is my weak attempt to show the connection of the track to the roadbed. You just bend the end of the rail tie.

I am only allowed to attached one picture for each post, but here is the engine. Yes, it runs. Although I have to fix the light.

I quite like the New Haven E7s that Marx made. Don’t have any myself, but I do have the New Haven F2 that Marx made for their HO line. Great looking trains!

Don’t worry – after several posts, you will be able to post a number of photos in one posting!
