Here the US goes again. Our area is forecast to have 2 - 6" of rain. The prolonged drought here does not need this kind of soaking.
It appears at present the center of Lee is headed toward Chattanooga with possibly 12" + of rain. This flooding potential thru the mountains may make Irene’s flooding look tame in comparsion. Lee’s flooding track hopefully will not wash out tracks here in the south like earlier hurricanes have. There are too many mountains here that may squeeze out buckets of rain?
