Are there any double track tunnel portals available for any spacing wider than 2"? Any ideas on making one from scratch? Thanks.

You could carve one from foam or wood. Add a few strips if you are making a concrete one. If you are doing a stone face, scribe the lines or add stick on sheets of the desired material.

I purchased the W/S double-wide concrete and stone portals, cut them in half with a hobby saw vertically through the apex of the arch, and put in a spacer. I have used wood bits and extruded insulation foam board bits. I’ll post a photo within the next couple of hours.

I wanted a couple of simple concrete portals. I made a wooden form and cast mine from plaster of paris. After they were dry I stained them with Woodlands Scenics colors to look like aged concrete.

Take a piece of drywall and draw the stone pattern on one of the paper sides. Use a hobby or utility knife to scribe the stone lines through the paper into the plaster. Pull or scrape off the paper. Cut the openings out. Paint the portal.
Here is the photo showing the modified portal with the wood insert quite apparent.
Now here is the product with the plug painted and some weathering done to the whole.

I had the same issue a year ago. If timber portals fit your pistol, one approach is to make a plywood portal backing to the shape you desire, then glue on a facing using balsa or basswood timbers. I was happy with my attempts except if doing again would ensure using sufficiently hard wood. Mine have been standing temporarily in place and when falling forward on the track (when table moved) they are so soft the track puts dent grooves in the wood.
