Is it possible to de turbo a General Electric locomotive?

Not unless you want to lower the HP ALOT !
GE locomotives will idle and run without a turbo , but they will starve for air in a very short time. many old GEs and ALCO’s did not have turbo’s these engines were well under 1000 HP
