i have a atlas turntable that i wanna use on my layout . Question iz how do i wire it im in ho scale an am using lenz dcc system any help would be awsum thanks
An Atlas turntable is pre-wired to automatically reverse the polarity when necessary. If you look around the rim, you’ll see that some of the slots are marked A and the rest marked B. All the tracks marked A should be wired with the same polarity, and those marked B should be the opposite polarity. The power for the turntable itself comes from the two screw binding posts on the rim, next to the drive mechanism.
If you have a power drive unit for the turntable, it can be wired to a simple DC power supply through a double-pole, double-throw (DPDT) toggle switch. I run mine through an old train power pack, so that I can use the throttle on the power pack to set the speed.
If you want to, you can drive the turntable through a decoder and run it from your DCC controller. It’s an extra level of complication, though, so I’d start with a simple power supply.
And please, use proper punctuation here. Most of us are older (senior tickets for Sherlock Holmes last night, yay!) and text-speak is kind of alien to us. Thanks.
