"Two Weeks to Live"

Well, I am back on the forum after another trip to the Middle East (I just LOVE my job), but I wanted to relay that there is some excellent rail footage in the first 15 minutes of an old Lum and Abner movie called “Two Weeks to Live” (1942). I found the DVD at Walmart for $1. Other than the train footage (include a run by by the original Burlington Zephyr), there’s not much else of value in the movie - but for a buck, hey, why not check it out?

Talk about a “H o o k” . . . I expected a doctor’s report of fatal proportions. [:0]

Pardon the pun, but you guys and your thread names are giving some of us “heart attacks”, well almost. [;)]

I hear that Jim.[:0]

Sort of like “Live Frozen Chickens” and the cascet maker named “Final Home Construction Company”.

And none of us on here need to have a heart attack!![V] Please do NOT
scare us like that.

If somebody is going to actually die, let’s make the designated thread name as “I’M GOING TO DIE…FOR REAL!” lol. I might check that out!

He did put it in quotes, so be easy on him.

And deathly quiet reigns as the thread is pronounced. =)

We dont know our future. Take it one day at a time folks.

It was in quotes. I am a former headline writer for a newspaper and I do know the rules and also DO know how to get your attention, huh?
Jeez, you try to do some people a favor…

I did “A Quickie with Mookie” - meaning a quick question - I am still in trouble over that!

[(-D] Mookie: that just about killed me with laughter!

Tharmeni: I understood the thread title. I was fully expecting a post like: "If you found out you only had two weeks to live, what passenger train would you like to ride…?

If you have to put an explanation in with the thread title, doesn’t that defeat the purpose, of getting someone to open the thread and read it?[:)]

Yep.
Uh, When do I get my “quickie with mookie”?

Oh, and if I had only two weeks to live, I quickly (out of essence) would book a trip through the Rockies on the American Orient Express.
Of course, I’d want Mookie along!
With “Two Weeks to Live”, quickies would be essential.
Heh…heh.

Just as soon as I can think up a quick question! [:X]
