I think these aliens are dumb! I mean, what the hell is a picture of BN Locos doing on the report when the incident happened (L & N). Only the 3rd engine was mentioned: Burlington (not BN).
I am starting to think that these aliens are just stupid alien teenagers that want to come to earth and play stupid pranks (Like interfering with track circuits, abducting people for experiments or appearing to drunken fishermen in rural Mississippi…HA!..HA!..Loved that one Jack_S).
WHY CAN’T THEY COME AND MEET SOMEONE IMPORTANT LIKE THE PRESIDENT…
MAYBE HE IS A DEEP COVER OPERATIVE AND HIS BUDDIES DON’T WANT TO EXPOSE HIM!!!
On a serious note, I do beleive in what Railroader Brit is trying to say. Look at area 51. It was originally a test facility where planes like the U2 were tested. I think the Stealthfighter (YF117) was tested there as well.
If they did exist, Aliens would be too busy to call in a bunch of Humans that are hell bent on trying to destroy one another. Maybe they are Railfans. Maybe that was why ALCO went out of bussiness (they all were abducted into outer space)…They had to stop by and pick up some parts for their 251’s.
cool story
“Follow The Flag”.
Sic Transit Gloria Mundi- There lies the road to progress.
vsmith, very true! I hadn’t thought about that, but I agree - with high-quality video cameras now readily available (the consumer stuff now is probably equal to the professional stuff of 10 years ago) we should surely be seeing plenty of good UFO footage if these things are as widespread as they’re claimed to be. The other thing that intrigues me is why all the footage you see on TV is grainy and out of focus - neither are difficult to avoid and I’d have thought in the event of seeing what you believe to be a spacecraft from another world you’d want to get the best footage possible…
Well duh, it was obviously an alien locomotive doing a test run on our rails to make sure that it could keep paces with our equipment because they are going to be expanding their market to us in 2010. Jeesh, that wasn’t that hard to figure out.[:p]
The locomotive is planned to produce some 75,000 horsepower in our standards. I forgot the price…some 15,500,000 qualzars or something like that. I’ll be interested in them.[:D]
1985 - if I remember rightly from my USSR history module last year the Cold War was getting warmed up again around that time, both sides were building a lot of new military technology (the era of “Star Wars” et al). I suspect our possible UFO might be found rusting quietly away in an abandoned base somewhere in Siberia…
It is a shame there was no dash camera then to record this incident. Maybe it was the dead engine calling in an EMD field repairman. I think that Anit-Gates had the answer!
