uncouplers

Does anyone know if thier is an uncoupler for N gauge?

do you have a “walters” catalog ? usually
numerous uncouplers in it to choose from.
see ya, turnout6.

try a search of walters.com

try a sharp round tooth pick. insert it in a small dowel rod 3 -4 inchs long so it’s easy to hold. to uncouple insert point inbetween coupler jaws and give it a little twist to uncouple. this is rael inexpencive too.

First, you won’t find anything about uncouplers under “walters”, the correct name of the company is WaltHers (Walthers) and has an excellent model railroad products search engine at “http://www.walthers.com”. You do not say if you are using the Rapido couplers that used to come with most N scale trains or the Micro-trains or equivalent that most modelers now use. Several European companies make uncouplers that are imported by Walthers for use with Rapido type couplers. Micro-Trains makes permanent magnet and electromagnetic uncouplers for its type of coupler.

Micro Trains is what I use and so do many others.

Sorry, I misread the question and Micro Trains use to offer one for their n-scale couplers.

Quaint and curious volumes of forgotten lore…

Seriously, this is a 20 year old thread.
