A "Pikestuff " building perhaps?

Cheers,the Bear.

What era?

Also what location? Many buildings on properties the UP merged with may still retain their former colors. Many buildings on the exCNW still are in the gray color CNW painted them.

As mentioned - it depends on what era you want. The colors for depots and other buildings changed several times during the late steam era and some of the lineside building might have been affected by that. A “safe choice” might be white, but by the 1970’s or so it was Spanish Tan and Bone White for MoW sheds, etc.

Earlier colors (I don’t have my reference books right here for dates) would include yellow ochre with red-brown trim, followed by gray with white trim, followed by white with Kentucky Green trim.

Modern era. Local: Mojave

Aluminum.

There really aren’t that many “MofW” buildings out there anymore, mostly just signal cabinets and maybe a metal storage/office building or two.

Section houses, motor car sheds, tool houses are pretty much gone.

The building I work out of (we share a building with the MOW crew) is tan with dark brown trim. It is a cinder block building. We also have a large metal building right next to us that they use for storage that is white. I believe most all the buildings in the yard are tan, but I would have to look tomorrow to confirm that.

I took a look at all the buildings in the yard today, and everything is pretty much a light to medium tan, with brown trim (all the doors and windows are brown). This includes the MOW, RIP, electrician, and signal maintainer buildings. There are a few metal buildings that are white with a darker blue trim. The building with the darkest tan is the old UPFE building, but I am not sure what that building is for. I believe it is also for the MOW folks. Just as an FYI, the overhead crane is what appears to be an Armour Yellow.
