UP v. BNSF

I’m not surprised that BNSF is making it big off of UP. At one point in time, it was quite evident in relation to CN and CP.

Biggest problems with UP is their in terminal time (29.9 hours!). I don’t know of any railroad that operates that poorly. I don’t know how much time CSX and CP take but neither of them are in direct route competition with BNSF which only takes about 9.9 hours.

They need to find bigger staging and might need to hire more crews faster. Might I suggest that they sponser some Canadian ex locomotive crews for a work visa until they can properly apply for U.S citizenship. There has been layoffs with CN, CP and some of the shortlines so there is where UP can get experienced crews if they are available.

You are aware with all there supposed problems UPRR stock is a hi flier these days almost @ $70.00 even though the DJ has weaken by almost 500 points lately?

I am somewhat aware of the volitility of the Dow Jones but when hasn’t it been volitile to some degree or another?

I’m sure many investment brokers and stock brokers will say that.

I think most people polled in the USA would say the DJ due to the stocks that make up the average is a extremely good guideline & is quite stable. Certainly it moves up or down every trading day ONLY based on what the stocks that make up the average do every day. If you want unstable try the pink sheets stocks. Great risk but could be great reward also [:o)][8D]
