As most of you have read in previous posts I have been working on my Bachmann Spectrum Dash 8-40CW undecorated locomotives. recently I hve just finished the Painting of the basic nose body and frame. I have added pictures. These re nice locomotives the screens are even etched brass and are see through. I have posted pics below to show the progress, Originally I had a dull yellow but found a bottle of near Santa Fe Yellow. I will continue to update with this post… Enjoy

Thanks I appreciate the compliment. I always lved the ATSF yellow and blue paint scheme so I used it as a guide line. I use to use the Lightening bolt like CNW used before they sold out to UP. Still have a couple of engines like that, wont repaint them tho for heritage reasons (sounds like a Railroad company there) So I figure paint the new ones like this.

Just an update on the project I have one locomotive detailed and painted waiting for the paint to dry then its time for decoder install. The other one would be done byt lost the windsheild wipers.

Are you running your own road name wwith this paint scheme you’re using like I am. Or are you using a real road name.

I am freelancing my own fictional Railroad with the paint scheme I changed it slightly from my original.
