Do someone have suggestions for

The only thing that comes right to mind for North American UPS operations is the 28ft Parcel Trailer Pups from A-Line, which their website lists as out of stock. These are common even today.
Also remember due to licensing issues, UPS did not really allow HO models in it’s livery till Norscott (I think the earlier Walthers Resin local delivery van came with some equivalent knock-off name decals). So if you find some A-Line pups, you’ll need to come up with some UPS decals too.
UPS as far as I know never owned any rail rolling stock, and quite frankly any reasonably modern HO distribution center can be repurposed as a UPS distribution center, and any reasonably modern HO storefront (preferably in a strip retail center) can be repurposed as a “UPS” store.

As the above post indicates, there’s little connection between railroads and UPS. UPS does have freight airplanes, but no trains.
Your variety of vehicles pretty well covers modern UPS operations.
Rix has several buildings that could easily have a UPS sign attached and would fit right in.
My memories go back to Railway Express Agency (REA) trucks, picking up packages that had come in on the train and delivering them locally. If there was no delivery service in the area, you went to the station or REA warehouse and picked up your own. There are quite a number of freight cars and vehicles in various eras for REA as they were railroad connected.

WHile UPS may never have used trains, it doesn’t hurt if he wants UPS trucks on his layout anymore than it hurts some people to want FedEx trucks on their layouts either?

Seems to me he is simply looking for anything UPS in 1:87th scale. Maybe he fancies “what brown can do for” him or thinks “that’s logistics”?
I believe Athearn just came out with a 1950’s Ford UPS truck. I’ll try to post a pick soon.
I have some Athearn 28’ UPSZ Containers, & some of the drop bottom Dry Van (40-45’?) trailers I used to load when in college & woking there part time… If you want pix please ask… I also painted a Ford & a Mack brown, but I wrinkled the paint with a hot flat coat, so they are 3+ footers!
Edit, PS: wasn’t UPS a big customer of the intermodal usage on BNSF? I thought there was something in Dream Plan Build that said they were a carrier for UPS (at one time)…
I am a UPS driver in Salt lake city, Utah. I have visited Caboose Hobbies in Denver, Colorado. The last time I was there. They had quite a few Tofc type rail cars with some 28’ containers and also some nice 40’ ups trailers for sale. You could try contacting them. They are a great bunch of people there. Look for thier ad in MRR. Also I have seen some package cars in magazines. I am not sure what the scale is?

Actually, perhaps the OP can tell us a bit more about what he is seeking - first, I see his location is Norway, but judging from his website his railroad is set in Germany (maybe; not sure).
Are you just collecting UPS vehicles of any era or type, or should it be modern era (say 2003+, when they introduced the new logo?)
You know, all these years, and I didn’t know those local UPS delivery vans were called Package cars till this thread (which caused me to check WIKI for UPS history).
Here’s a radical idea for a UPS delivery truck. Yeah, in some areas the US Postal Service delivers UPS packages - UPS hands the package off to the USPS for the last leg (destination)
No, based on my very old and rusty norwegian {suffered greatly haven’t spoken or seen it in many many years, nor had cause to} It looks like he is modeling in Normway, or Norge.
Looks like DHL {a european Delivery agent similar to UPS and who failed miserably and went out of business here in the USA- actualy was bought out of bankrupt I think} was a favorite of his too.
He is seeking all things UPS from America that are in 1:87th Ho scale {probably OO scale to him?}.

UPS is still a big user of intermodal. BNSF, and perhaps other railroads, run dedicated trains for UPS. UPS even has its own intermodal terminal at Richmond, CA (railroad station North Bay). Its huge facility in Hodgkins, IL has its own entrance to BNSF’s Willow Springs intermodal terminal. If you look around the facilities, you will notice considerable lease trailers and even a few trucking and railroad company trailers and containers.
Probably not - OO (1:76) is a mostly British thing.
The most common scale in Norway is H0 (1:87 or 1:87.1).
I see the J L O notes on his wish list that he is looking for “vekselstrømsutgave” (AC edition) of various Norwegian locomotives. Which is probably another way of saying that he is running Märklin trains (with the center studs).

Here are some of my UPSZ intermodal units. UPS transfers quite a bit by rail, & this represents some of that movement. The dark short drop bottom trailer is an A-Line unit, hitched to a Herpa Ford tractor I painted Brown. The 28’ Container on a chassis is an Athearn trailer unit, hitched to a Herpa Mack CL700, & yes, I left the badges & the the Mack Bulldog on the the truck, we all know what they are anyway! The Rail cars start with an Athearn set in the rear: ‘#91915 TTX 56’ Wellcar w/4 28’ containers [sub #560066]’ exactly as seen on the Mack & trailer chassis. The drop bottom trailers are from an Athearn 2 pack: #27951 UPSZ 40’ Parcel Trailer [Two Pack]) They are temporarily postioned on a Walthers 89’ TTX tri-hitch flat car with the mid hitch removed for the photo. Other than two other Athearn TOFC cars with setup like the Walthers car, that is my UPS representation. Luckily the photo hides much of the wrinkled paint on the two trucks, the clear coat I tried out attacked the brown base quite severely.
Athearn in HO scale has just announced athe 28’ container/chassis for preorder with the current UPS logo. They have offered in the past without the current logo. UPS seems to be allowing a few model railroad manufacturers to use their current logo: Norsoct and Athearn. Makes it very easy to model a modern UPS intermodal train. Didn’t I read somewhere that UPS was going to buy 53" containers for domestic service?

If the OP is into kitbashing a bit, he can build one of these driver training vehicles (particularly if he can find the old Walthers kit, easy to kitbash with)
Don’t know if Mr JKO comes around to this forum anymore, but looks like the 1/87 Vehicle new product page has some things of interest for him coming up from Athearn:
I believe the first 2 items (reasonably modern UPS trailers and containers) would be of the greatest interest to him. The Checker sedan I thought was yet another Athearn fantasy livery…but I was WRONG!
ETA: I see bnsf80 mentioned the upcoming Athearn UPS containers in an earlier post; I guess since then they have announced the rest of the new UPS products.
If ever produced, I’d purchase HO models of UPS vehicles from the 1960s-70s era.

UPS…What don’t they own. They are huge with the railroads. Mostly with BNSF. Sometimes you see a BNSF with all UPS TOFC’s running through Rochelle at a high speed. A few years back they used UP but they were taking hits on freight being late so they went over to BNSF. Now they are getting bigger into ocean shipping. They have a dedicated service to this. I also read in in Trains magazine they are converting all their trailers to container trailers. I have not heard this confirmed from UPS. Someday you will see the brown train going through town. I heard rumours back in the early nineties that they even owned or were part owners of an aircraft carrier. UPS is so big and expansed that I don’t think a human mind could even begin to amass how big the company actually is and what they own. I’m very surprised that they are relaxing the licensing rights to products. Probabaly because 10% of the company is publically owned now. Glad to see more stuff on the market.
