Hi and welcome to the forum! Have you tried USA trains website? If nothing there you can contact their service dept. to see if they can direct you. Garden Railways had an article on the 44 tonner with RC. Mind you this was also for batteries, not track power. Has anyone else on this forum done an install? Hope you find what you need! The NW-2 is very easy to take apart, just take your time. I can’t answer your question. But I converted all my USA engines to battery power/track power. Are you planning to use track power and have the TE control the engine? You may still have to deal with dirty track and power problems. Thats why some of us went to onboard battery and TE recievers. Same thing just different power source.

Battery Power is the way i go
I installed sound ,Batteries and TE In the Tender Now I can Run Any Steam loco
Three 7.Volt ,ma NiMh battery pack wired in series work great
So to Run Diesel add the same components in a Box car and get the same results
