Anyone out there using a 3927 track cleaning car to keep their track clean.
Does it work?
Any tips?
Want type of cleaning solvent or metal polish works best?
Best regards,
Mike

I use 91% Isopropol alchohol to clean my track and wheels. It works great and evaporates quickly. Less than a buck per bottle at Walmart.

Alcohol is a good grease remover but DON’T use it in a 3927 track cleaning car! It will go up in flames! 1 1/2 thicknesses of Scotchbrite pads glued to the disc of the 3927 work quite well.

Neil,
Do you use anything on the scotchbrite pads?
Mike
We use denatured alcohol in our homemade track cleaner cars. Much less water content in denatured.
Lionel still makes fluid!
Track Clean #2927-15
I use this in the 3927 with the scouring pads for a deep clean.
Works great!
For a quick lite clean I use denatured Alcohol in the newer 18461.
All mechanical. No sparks.
