I am looking to model the Arcade and Attica Railroad’s tourist gondola, and I think that it is a USRA composite gondola. It has a steel frame and wooden boards that make up the body. When I modeled in HO it was easy to find a kit for, but now that I am working in 1:29 it presents a challenge. The Aristocraft and LGB gondolas are either too modern, or too narrow guage. I have never scratchbuilt anything in this scale before (and yes, I know 1:32 is closer to realism, but…) but do not want to have to draft my own plans. So,
Question: Does anyone know if plans were ever published for these gondolas in Trains or Model Railroader, or somewhere else?
If this question would be better in another forum then feel free to move it. And if you guys are too busy attending the Springfield 2007 show tomorrow that is okay… I will be there too!
THANKS IN ADVANCE for any help you can give!
