Does anyone know where I can purchase Vermiculite in Denver. I want to try Lou Sassi’s Ground Goop Recipe.
I just purchased vermiculite from www.Mcmaster.com I am lucky enough to live close to one of their main distribution hubs so I just picked it up at the will call desk but the stuff is so light I can’t see that it would cost you a great deal to have it shipped. A 40lb bag was around $20.00 I don’t know if they have locations near you but just contact them and I’m sure they will be glad to help
Vermiculite is used in the horticultural business. You may be able to find some at a well-stocked nursery.
If not mistaken, vermiculite is a mineral rock that was exposed to great heat, like in a volcano. It ends up being very light in wieght.
It also used to be used as insulation. Doubt if any HVAC contractors or insulation people use it anymore.

Lowes typically sells it in the garden area. I know that some areas may not carry but worth a try
