Very Pleased with Model Power's Customer Service

Recently I was putting together a Model Power Old Coal Mine kit that we had purchased years ago, and found that it was missing one part. My wife telephoned MP for me during regular business hours, and spoke with a friendly representative. They said that they would send a replacement part, but it might be a few weeks due to the holiday season. Three days later, a complete sprue with the missing part and two other parts arrived in the mail.

This, in my opinion, is excellent customer service.

I also had a good encounter with MP. A few months ago I was cleaning one of my MP locos and lost one if the driveshafts, I called them and they sent me a new one and a ‘‘spair’’ I had them within a weeks time. I am very pleased. Mike

thats how companies SHOULD handle things as far as parts and the like (unless the thing has been out of production for a long time, and there are no more parts available). I hate trying to talk to someone who treats you as either incompetent, a liar, or just another annoying customer they have to deal with…

I’ve heard of people and shops bad-mouthing Model Power stuff, but I’ve put together a couple of their buildings, and I’m very happy with the results. These are all reasonably price, cheap even, when compared with other manufacturers who offer far less detail. I’m proud to put Annie’s Antiques and Baldy’s Barbershop right at the front of my layout. They come with interior detail and lighting, along with built-in interior light-blocks and a textured roof surface. The details sprue has lots of small extra parts that can be added as desired.

Baldy’s, by the way, is one of the few structures I’ve built without having to paint the exterior walls to an acceptable color.
