Video: Kato N scale Broadway Limited

I enjoyed watching this video. The GG1 seems to have some great pulling power. And the idea of describing each car is a good idea/
add on also.

I still have not found the easy way to install the decoder!

I enjoyed this video of the Broadway Limited set a gerat deal. keep up the good work!

I am very impressed by the superb attention to detail that KATO achieve every time a new product appears. Having started a collection of various locomotives and rolling stock for an american n gauge layout, it seems sensible to me that this famous train should be on my shopping list next time I visit the U.S.

Please tell us how to install theDigitrax decoder in loco Give us details Maybe some pictures. Make it SIMPLE Thanks

I would like to see something from Digitrax or Kato on how to install a decoder.

The one orginally suggested by Kato doesn’t work.

Looks great !! Sure wish Kato did some european trainsets like this (e.g. City Night Line Amsterdam-Vienna) with a MRCE class 189.

Great detail for something so small. Liked the description of each car as it passed.

The whole train looked like it ran extremely well.

I am sorry the lighting was not very good in this Video, I would have like to see more detail. This is a fine N Scale model and should be treated as such. please

Very Nice!

Not to get off topic, but what’s the title/artist of the background music?

Another great looking model from Kato. They do produce some fine examples in N scale. I have always been impressed whenever I have purchased any of their stock.
How about seeing more of David’s N scale Naugatuck layout?

I have the expanded set and the base set, GG1s, E8s, and NW2 switchers from Kato. They all are fantastic models, look and track great. My Harrisburg train shed is the perfect spot to change power.

Nice video. It’s great to see y’all doing more video. I know I’m nitpicking here, but as a videographer and video editor I wouldn’t have chosen the “slide” transition on a moving train.

Nice job with the video Dana. The passenger cars look great, showing fairly close coupling characteristics that Kato should be commended for. Quality on these looks even a bit better than on their N scale model of the Super Chief that I have in my roster.

The GG-1 though seems to show a pretty large gap between the body and trailing/power trucks. Hopefully it is just with this particular sample. I would still be pleased to own this model if I was modeling this road. It is definitely a smooth runner.

Since this model seems to be more closely coupled, I am curious to know if you experienced any problems with the train coming uncoupled unexpectedly. I have had this happen several times with the Super Chief as the train makes its way along a slight downgrade and transitions to an upgrade. The uncoupling often involves one of the F7A or F7B units. I believe it is due to Kato’s basic coupler design since I have never experienced the condition with Micro-Train couplers. I am wondering if Kato’s couplers are different on the Broadway Limited.

Thanks for a great video.

I LIKED THE DICRIPTION AS THE CARS WENT PAST. tHE OCO LOOKED VERY GOOD

great video;) but the pantographs should be raised.looks much better then… i have the gg1 from kato and it runs perfect, but since i don`t have the space i model prr in z scale.gg1 from marklin is also an excellent engine. so for now the kato gg1 is only on display…unfortunately.

Kato always produce superb models and this one is no exception.
Would love to see a DVD of the operation of David’s railroad.

Geat article. Great classic train. Own it. Thanks.
