Video: National Train Show 2013 report part 1

It was a great convention. I enjoyed it as much as those who were there attending it along with me. The train show was fabulous. I got to stop by the Kalmbach booth and say hello to everyone who was there. I got alot of great items including some much needed freight cars to add to the consist of my train as I run it. The best parts of the convention were the proto type and layout tours I took along with the clinics and silent auction where I won four items including a Louisville and Nashville General Electric U36B that is getting a rest after running a pretty long freight train on my main line.

As a 40 year dreamer/collector (but no layout) it was something to see a show as massive as this. A much different experience from the 1995 NMRA show in Atlanta. My hats off to the Piedmont Division of the NMRA. The craftsmanship and diversity of the layouts made this show extra special. I missed greeting Neil and Dana in the Kalmbach booth but did get to meet the omnipresent Tony Koester. And being able to have my picture taken with future hall-of-famers David and Cody made it complete. They have taken MR to the next level. Great video!

Great start for the big show

This project is well done providing readers with valuable information and giving vendors an opportunity to present their products. Model railroader is providing a valuable service to your readers and advertisers in this project.

great i did not get to go but watching your videos helps ease the pain

Great to have this fine coverage of the events in Atlanta. Hats off to the MR staff!

grrrreat

Nicely done! Thanks.

Excellent video coverage of the show.

I decided that the 10 to 11 hour drive would be too much, so I didn’t go, so I really appreciate this fine report. THANKS!

Was at the convention and saw David and Cody at the MR booth. Did not stop to say, “Hey” because, well, I flt that they had enough other folks stopping to aggravate them. This was my first NMRA Convention and train show I was impressed.

Cody, Great review of the show, and the new products from athearn, Bachmann, kato, walters and other companies. Some great model displays as well. Looks like a great show, where is next years show going to be located, be nice to be in Texas somewhere.
