Video of my homemade Transfer Table

Here is a video of my homemade Transfer Table. I used the guts of an old electric screwdriver connected to a threaded rod to power the table. Now I can have all nine of my engines on the layout and call them up whenever I need them. If anyone wants more detail, I can post more construction photos.

That thing looks great! I would love any construction info you have available since I have planned a space for one in the future. It’s really a great space saver for us guys with little layouts. nice background work too.

Very nice construction and operation. How are you powering the rails on the the transfer table? I don’t see any wires to the table nor any contacts to the end of the stationary rails. Are you using the transfer table guide tubes for power? What type of motor are you using to translate the table?
