This layout is excellent. Pelle does great work. I like his track plan a lot too…looks like it (or something very similar) would work well for many modellers.
This layout has the perfect atmosphere for a desert railroad and looks so realistic. I am inspired to get building my own. Thanks Pelle.
Great work, very convincing appearance! This is art
Details are incredible, seems all real! Please more videos!!! Pelle you are the best.
Wow! I was very surprise to see how small Mr Soeborg’s layout is, But what it lacks in size makes up 100 times in detail. The detail is… so realistic, is… is just amazing. I’ve being to that region, and his dead on with the scenery. And the work his done on the couplers! It really pays of on the close ups when his uncoupling the cars. He has done it again!! Amazing work Pelle!
Well done. This video is one of the best you have offered for viewing layouts.
Pele does exellent work! Very realistic!
Love it…!! - Question: Are the backdrops painted or commercially available…??
Splendid! Whaz kind of couplers are that? The separation of the airhoses- like the real thing!
THOUGH THE ENTIRE LAYOUT WAS OUTSTANDING AND A TREAT TO VIEW; THE AIR HOSE DISCONNECT WAS THE THING I WILL NEVER FORGET. GREAT WORK.
His scenery is absolutely perfect. The backdrops are great. I still have problems with todays expensive sound systems that sound more like my leaf blower. Let’s try to do better here.
You cannot model anymore realistic than this layout. Expertly done with tremendous attention to detail. Very impressive !!
Incredible layout! I’m more of a New England guy so could you try to find any New England based layouts such as the CV, GT, CN or NECR? Thank you.
Absolutely fantastic. Modeled after the town of Mojave and Monolith Cement, Pele truly captured the aura of the region. I’ve been through there many times. Excellent modeling. The BEST.
Absolutely stunning. A nice detail I almost missed was about a minute and a half in where the switcher pulled free from a cut the brake hoses lifted before pulling apart and dropping back down. NICE! Then a funny one. When the train was signaling for a grade crossing I thought I had a malfunction in my 'puter here, Then I realized the out of sync grade crossing horn was out back at a CSX grade crossing, LOL.
Air Hoses? Check out High Performance MagnaLock Air Hoses on the PWRS website. Made for HO and N Scale. There is even a Youtube video on how to install them.
Only thing missing is me trackside railfanning! Awesome work!
Two things: Did you see the hose separate as the train uncoupled? Also, did you see how impressive Pelle’s backdrop is? It goes all the way up to the ceiling! Impressive layout, indeed. Thanks for sharing your video with us, Pelle.
Neither of the above. Pelle custom blended actual photos he took. (There was an article on how he photo-shopped the backgrounds in the July 2012 MR…
@ John M Hudson you are correct. SBU= Sense and Braking Unit
