Video Step by Step: Build a water tank part 2
Great job Steve. Very nicely done. It show that a bit of patients and planning can give you a better than bought model. It reminds me a bit of balsa plane building. Thanks
nice job. I was just wondering if there is a reason you don’t use Duco Cement for wood projects. It is an all purpose cement, dries quickly and clear.
Do you have printable plans for the water tank?
Beautiful work, keep the scratch building videos coming!
Wow! That’s a lot of work, but the videos and results are great.
Question: As Steve was putting on the first 2" strips, he left a small portion of the panel free of the 2" strip. As I was watching, I thought that his cross beam would fit and be glued to the panel. However, when he was putting the beam on the panel, the “free panel part” was not there. Was that deliberate?
I’ll be building one for my layout. I have to ask Steve though, in Part 1 when twist the tank wires instead of joining them with some sort of turnbuckle?
Great scratch-building project! Thanks Steve. Great videos! Thanks David and crew.
Will definitely be building one of these in the near future. Very nice job Steve. One suggestion for MRVP - maybe you could have a way to add videos to a playlist [like YouTube] so a viewer can create a list for one of the many series you have on here. Thanks!
I just finished up mine and got a ton of comments on how nice this is. I added a trap door and ladder to it. I also painted the spout bulkhead set with a iron based paint the weathered with rust. thanks for all the great videos keep them coming
Steve: This is about the sixth time I have watched this video series. I LOVE IT! I am in the process of building a water- tank from a Campbell kit and you have helped me a great deal. Post more scratch-built videos. They are full of ideas and great techniques.
