Anyone ever had one apart? Instruction sheet is long gone, weight seems loose, and would like to fix that, but not sure how to get it apart.

Do you actually need to take the car apart? How about drilling a small hole in the bottom and injecting some silicone caulk or gel CA?

Remove the trucks and You should see how the center beam and bolster are connected…on each end of the car You will see a slot on each end, stick a flat blade screwdriver in there and try to pry up, if it does not come up, it was probably spot glued and will be hard to remove. You can try spreading the sides, that should work also. The weight is just glued to the top of the floor…probably not correctly, if it came loose. A lot of those, You had to glue in spots, to keep them level, I know I had to on mine…but I can get them apart, if I need to. On those…the roof does not come off, sides, end and roof, are one piece.

Thanks-mine was the kind with the removable roof; needed to secure the weight before offerring for sale. You guys were a great help with that.
