This kit is 21.5cm wide. Can anyone who has built this model advise if it would be feasible to reduce the width to 15cm? ie can approximately 2" be taken out of the side walls and roof?

I have not built this structure, but most if not all who have built it probably did so without cutting it down.
Did you mean sidewalls which would reduce the depth of the structure, or are you considering shortening the width by modifying the front and back walls?
The key to cutting down such a structure is the use of a jeweler’s saw and ultra fine saw blades, plus some metal files to smooth the cuts.

Yes, looking at reducing the depth ie roadside to railside. No problems doing it, just want to know if the design of the structure makes this a relatively straightforward modification.
