I’m installing several Walthers HO traffic lights, single sided ones, in sets of four and then to the Walthers controller. I have to add additional wire to each set, or at least two of them because of thier location on my layout, to hook all four of them up to the same controller. I solder a piece of 22 AWG to the color coded leads from the light but seem to have a problem with them cycling correctly. Sometimes one color will not light on two of the four. I can usually mess around with the wires (I have reversed some of the colors from the light to the controller). Does anyone have a slick foolproof way of extending the wires from the light?
Are you exceeding the capacity of the controller? How many of the lights are you running off of one controller module? It may not be able to handle the number of lights you’re hooking up to it. (I checked the listing on the Walthers site, but it didn’t list the capacity. So, hopefully they put that in the instruction sheet.)
According to Walthers, each controller is designed to accomodate four lights (one intersection) and thats not in the instructions - I got that info from the tech people at Walthers
