Walthers Sale

is this a good sale, for a buying model railroading supplies and such?

I would do some additional searching on the web, lojo88. I think you can beat these prices, even if you have to pay shipping. The Walthers sale for Christmas may end on 12/20, but I just received the December mailer catalog and that sale is good through the end of January.

This mailer has great prices, but limited selection. You may just want to go to the Walthers site first and check MSRP on what you specifically need, then do your web shopping.

Bye the bye…[#welcome] to the forum! keep asking questions…none of them are silly or dumb. We’ve all been there.

It is a good sale, but it depends on how much the LHS is going to charge you?

Have you checked out the back of Model Railroad magazine for other possible LHS choices near you?

This guy looks like he operate from his home, I could be wrong but RR6 Aylmer ON is not exactly like Wellington St in London ON!
From what I’ve seen, he hasn’t updated his site for a while & he doesn’t seem to keep a whole lot of stuff in stock.
Check him out though, I hope I’m wrong.

I, would look on ebay. Always the best deal if you use your head.

I went to his store, today. Nice little drive from hamilton. I thought it was some guy running a business out of his house. Well actually his house is beside is business. The store is inside a huge pole bar, with large wood shop upstairs and huge store below. The selection was impressive. His store was the size of modellers choice in just pure trains. Very impressive, and the owner and the sale ladies were very nice. execellent price. I did the advice phoned around and surfed and could not find a better deal. If you looking for DCC knowledge and expertise in Southern Ontario go there. They have a huge supply with onsite training there of installation and decoders and sound.
Very impressive, I would refer that store any other modeller in the hobby. Note the G and O scale selection was awesome, never saw that big trains in my life.
