Waltherss 90' turntable control box

I want to mount the control box of the RTR Cornerstone DCC turntable to my 1X4 front panel. The instructions say to simply remove the back and place the box in a pre fit hole and re install the four screws. The screws are not long enough to pass through even a 1/8" panel.

For those of you that have this TT, how did you mount the control box and what did you do with the cable to the TT pit?

Want a faster mount, Bruce in the Peg? Go to Wally’s or Zellers and find some of those packages of Velcro self-stick pads. They come in various sizes and shapes.

I used the 2" or so round ones. The process is to peel the removable wax paper cover from one half of the two pads, stick the pad on the back of the control box, and do the same thing for the other element, but this time on a convenient leg, fascia location…something where you won’t be jamming your knees, wheel-chair wheel or armrest. etc. into it.

I mount my two rather costly DT400 Digitrax throttles precisely the same way. The only time anything has dropped was when I had butter fingers…not once from the Velcro. Removing the box is just a firm tug or three away. However, I have yet to want to lift it away from its base pad. The buttons are well lit and easily accessed, so no need to tear it away from the other pad. The throttles, of course, are another thing altogether.
