want to see some working layouts

new to the hobby. are there any sites that have videos of some of the great layouts i have seen in magazines

Try youtube. There is some good and bad footage there. Great insiration.

Tedd,

Welcome to the hobby and this site!

A great source for model RR Videos of famous layouts is from Allen Keller Productions www.allenkeller.com

The cool part of those videos is that you see the layouts, hear from the builders, and they also show tips and tricks for modeling.

I have purchased two videos (The Reid Brother’s Cumberland Valley System (#10), and Lance Mindheim’s Monon RR(#47).

Totally worth the investment!!!

Try http://www.allenkeller.com

This is the site for Allen Keller’s Great Model Railroad series of tapes and DVDs. I couldn’t find any free video clips on the site but you can order from it. I’ve got about a half dozen from his series and I think every one was outstanding. I’d like to buy more but I have other priorities right now. These GMRs are the inspiration I need to keep me going on my own layout.

I modestly direct you to my website… www.wmrywesternlines.net. I have several videos of my layout up on YouTube.

This is my idea of a underground video:

Not much in the way of quality, but what do you expect from a video camera mounted inside an HO subway car?

Here’s lookin’ at ya…
