Was wondering, is anyone experiencing this with the CTT site?????

It has been happening to me for several weeks. Other websites are much faster.

It gets a little slow for me at times, but no major problems. But what the heck, it is free and I appreciate CTT providing the service.

Ever since the last forum upgrade (?) I haven’t been able to post using my Juno web browser. Have to switch over to Internet Explorer to post anything. Otherwise, it’s been okay.

Today the word heading or captions are Missing!!! Had to click where I thought the headings were located.

Just did it again. Would not open this thread and had only 2 little green bars and holding. Clicked again and open right up.

Later, went to post the above, did the same, clicked again and it posted immediately.

Just for the heck of it I tried using Firefox. Worked okay and was able to post okay. But seems like just another version of IE. Still can’t post with my Juno browser.

Chief,

Just remember how all this software and technology is making our lives easier and stress free. I’d email you a lengthy explanation as to how our lives are easier, but I’ve blue screened. Now, if I could just remember where I put that paper and pencil. [%-)][;)]

Seriously thou, some of the issues raised here seem to be a dial-up issue. To find a problem, a common denominator needs to be found. Let’s assume the boys at CTT did their homework and built a bug free software for all platforms. [:-^] Let’s also assume their server is running smooth, no derailments. [bow] So are those with problems on dial-up, high speed etc.

Here’s the really strange thing…BEFORE the last upgrade everything was workig fine and there were no threads that I can remember about forum problems. Now there are constant threads popping up complaining about glitches and bugs. This was an upgrade??? [%-)]

Deputy,

That’s my point. As these software writers try to reinvent their sites, adding more bells and whistles, it tends to choke those of us on dial-up. I use Firefox on highspeed at my daughters, no problems ever with this site. Using the same browser on dial-up at home, it stalls, hic-ups etc.

Folks who write html need to remember, there are a lot of us out here stuck on dial-up, and could be for a few years to come. That’s my [2c].

But as mentioned, it’s free, so no complaints.

Guys, I’m on Beep Beep [Road Runner] and have had it checked and they say speed is right on. SO? I do run some blockers but can disable it by holding down the control key. Does not help at all. I can also monitor the blockers by looking in the bar below the main screen on the left. Its after all is done and it just sits. This seems to be especially true at night.
