I was back reading my Model Railroaders and I see that all the advertisements for the Tower 55 engines were the SD70ACe engines first. Werent these supposed to be released first or was t just a mistake of them advertising for many months of the Heritage, UP, and BNSF units? Look at all your last years MR and see. Now they are slated for Fall delivery?
Don’t you get tired of sneaking in here, Al?
Definitely not fresh.
At first they were supposed to be in this Summer. But with the release of their first product, the UP and BNSF GEVO’s, they kinda put the SD70ACe’s on the back burner. I have been talking with Brian Marsh, and he said that they MIGHT get pushed back to winter.
Now don’t start complaining! This is a brand new company that just released their first product, which I might add is fantastic! Give them a break. If you remember, the GEVO’s were supposed to be out in winter of 2005, but got released in February and March of this year.

One of my club buddies picked up three of the BNSF Evo’s. They look fantastic and sound wonderful. The newest version of DecoderPro (beta) already has the programming ability for them. All in all, a very sweet package. Today I told him that together his three engines are worth more than the car I drive! Once he gets them broken in, I suspect the lashup will pull a hundred cars up our 2% grades.
