Well I see it hasn’t been started so I will kick things off!!!

Nice weathering Robby.
I’ve been working on scenery lately and planted some new trees around my pond. Foreground scenery is still a work in progress and guard rails need to be installed on the trestle.

You guys are too good! In the first two posts in this thread you really have to look good to tell they aren’t models.
Here’s a couple of areas I’m working on, still have lots of trees to make, lot more details to add.

Nice work so far, Robby I have a decal for a red St. Mary’s car. Here are three cars I managed to complete this last week!
Intermountain Railway Company Double Plug Door Boxcar with added Extended Cushion Coupler Pockets, lettered with Herald King Decals, needed to use some scraps to get all the door lettering for all four doors.
Front Range Double Door Boxcar with added Extended Cushion Coupler Pockets, lettered with Microscale decals.
Walthers 2-Bay Airslide lettered with Microscale decals. Thanks for looking!! Rick
Great work. No pictures from me, I did run some trains only.

Inspirational photos - great start to the WPF!

This week, I unearthed a treasure!
Hidden deep down in moving box, forgotten for 35 years, rested this beauity:

It needs a little cleaning & a good lube job - that should get her running again!
Excellent news from you, Ulrich!! As for the rest of you guys, you’re really starting to scare me, and I don’t mean in a Halloween way. You are making incredible photos.
Here is my image for the week. A Pennsy K4s emerges from a dark tunnel into sunlight and cold. Smoke and steam effects are mine…for a change.

I’m kind of a bridge fan and I have to say “Wow!” about this. It is sweet!
Here’s a shot of one of my MLW (Alco) C424’s on which I “CN-ized” the fuel tanks. The stock model has no split between the fuel tank extensions. I used pieces of Evergreen styrene tubing cut in half.

Nice work so far, everyone.
Happy Model Railraoding
Great photo as usual.
Just a note. In front of the loco the outside rail has a bump at the joiner. Might want to file that down.
Nothing new for me to show. I did however weather a bunch of flatcars that will be modified for log bunks. I also built an Athearn UP bulkhead 52’ flatcar for log service and I also completed my roundhouse box cab diesel project that has been weathered and chipped and super detailed for use as the shop switcher. The box cab has had extensive work done to it. Milled the frame to fit a good can motor in it, made new electrical connections and will have eventually a decoder and lights and maybe even sound to cover up the roundhouse gear noise. Eventually I will replace the chassis with a bachmann 70 ton or 44 ton with dcc for quieter operation. Hopefully I will have pics for next weekend
Since I’m away from the models, a couple of railfan shots - the California Zephyr in Glenwood Canyon, Colorado. Eastbound:

And Westbound:

These were only a few minutes apart.
I was all set to compliment you on some outstanding modeling until I read the text. It makes me even more disappointed than I was a few years ago when I took the California Zephyr and we were detoured through Wyoming because of UP track maintenance between Denver and Salt Lake City. I had already traveled that route about 25 years earlier when that was Amtrak’s main route before they acquired the the Colorado leg.
I haven’t jad a chance to start scenery, so these photo’s aren’t much comparitivly, but it’s a start.

“Ole Reliable” my Spectrum F40PH, pulled out of servece shortly after this photo due to coupler problems.

Happy Halloween Weekend!

Well, I’m finally making progress on my layout. All the foam (minus one piece, because I ran out of Liquid Nails) is in place. Some of the track is in position to help give an idea of the track plan, but nothing is glued down yet.
Enjoy!
What a great website you have. I spent a good part of this afternoon enjoying the photos of your models. Very interesting particularly for another CN modeler.
Hope your health gets better
Thanks a lot. Be happy.

My last post was refering to Colin Murray’s earlier post and should have read:
