I’ll second that.
Great work, Sam.

Wow, some great stuff this weekend!
Caught a freight heading out of Sarona, Wis.:
Terry in NW Wisconsin
I needed to paint some horses before I could put the roof on and finish the Livery Stable for my N scale Hollywood backlot falsefront wild west town.
Unlike the false fronts that are not real buildings and have no insides, the livery stable has at least a hint of an interior.
However, the classic board-and-batten façade hides a backside that is a utilitarian tin shed. And the high hay loft only has a front and one side.
There are two rows of shingles around the tops of the front and sided façade walls-- otherwise, no roof. The shingles are there only to give the impression of a roof from the front and from near ground level.
Gidday Frank, do I [?] [?][*-)] I hadn’t really noticed. [swg]
Thanks to All for kind comments, unfortunately I can’t take any credit for the modeling, I just had the benefit of having lots of fun. [:D]
For those who are interested there is more here…http://modeltrains.kiwi.nz/
Curt Webb. Many thanks for your kind remarks. Is your Russell plough the Walthers Kit and if so is the “front” coupler a store bought detail part, or a scratch-built item ?
Great Stuff as per usual Gentlepersons. [bow]
Cheers, the Bear.
Enjoyed the video Bear how does the Truck runing on the highway work? is it following an embedded wire ?

Bear,
Obviously, I’m not Curt, but I do have one of the Walthers Russell snowplows. My front coupler pocket extension was a cast metal part made for this car…except I can’t remember who made it. [:S] Maybe Curt or someone else will recall?
Lots of groovy work again this week!
Bear: no problem about the location mixup (only about 500 miles apart [swg])
Haven’t touched a train since unloading the car from the NMRA / PCR “Iron Horse Express” Convention about 3 weeks ago–swamped with work–so here’s photo of one section of the “Wye Knott” module that finally made it back to it’s owner and so cleared up a lot of space on my workbench (for whenever I get back to it):
Happy Weekend, all!
Great stuff again this weekend. Too many to comment on individually. Keep them coming guys!
My 7-year old grandson, like his older brother has a thing for steam engines. He loves to watch them just crawl by. This Bachmann Spectrum, 4-6-2, Pennsylvania RR, K-4, #1361 belongs to his older brother. Here it rounds the curve near General Industries on the BRVRR layout.
Thanks to all of you out there this is always the best thread of the week. Keep it up!
Here’s something else off of the Barclay, Towanda & Susquehanna. A freight passes by the Wysox Lumber Company’s camp at noon on a cool fall day.
One of the railroad’s dirty and run-down diesel engines. Let’s keep them coming everyone!A very high horsepower trio, BN #5624(fictional heritage unit, SD90/43MAC) leads 5622 and 9647 with a long freight. In the background an all EMD lash up is taking a break in the siding.
Some great pics this weekend!
Mike, the station looks really good. Nice for throwing together some leftovers
It has been a good while since I posted any photos. Have been working on a club module and finally got around to planting some scenery.
Was just trying to put together a scene indicative of some type of industry…paper mill or cotton compress. Still a work in progress. The ADN boxcar was one I weathered a few months ago.

Gidday Terry ,Glad you enjoyed the video. To answer your question, basically yes. It’s one of the “Faller Car Systems” older starter sets. I see on their website that things have really developed since then, would hate to think the cost now.

I find it is quite ironic that the truck doing its circuit on the hill can attract more attention than the actual trains.[sigh]. Still good to see a happy public.
Mike, a detailed part, [^o)] Have been having a look at prototype photos to see if I can do a credible scratch build. Thanks for the reply.
Cheers, the Bear.

OK, the correct terms came to me, so have found the part from Custom Finishing. It’s even in stock:
