Weekend Photo Fun 27-29 September 2013, posted by the New Guy

Thanks Guys,
Those are Tomar Gates w/Bell detail & 4 LEDs.
The Signal Box is a BLMA unit with an added Blue LED & a short Fiber Optic for a light tube.
The Controller/Detector is an NJ International Servo Master.
But, I only wanted to use 1 servo so I am working on a bellcrank system now, (you can see the servo arm hanging down). Not sure if that was the best plan…
The Bell sound is from the ITTC, Crossing Bell, & will be activated by a switch on the bellcrank & hold until the gates go back up.
I thought building it as a plate & then adding it to the layout later would be a good way to get everything set up. It’s working good so far.

I finished the painting & weathering of my extended signal bridge, based on an IHC design, and am now wiring the signals & determining placement.

I think I’ve got a good soldering plan that is secure but will still allow for bending the piece during install.

I’m using a 4 wire telephone cable given by a friend, conveniently coloured green, yellow, red, & black. The lights and controller are from China, with a motion detector & a delay switch.

thank you mike, i rarely post much since the last change from photobucket getting rid of being able to pick more than one pic at a time to copy and paste. just takes to much time to do individually.

my layout is 13’ x 22’ twice around the walls with a center pennisula. dual main lines this time. my last layout was a 24’ x 24’ garage layout single main with return loops at each end. had to tear down so i could work on hotrods with the boy

heres a link to the new layout on photo bucket.
