Thanks for starting us out with another great picture!

This week’s contribution:

MDC Offset Side 3 bay hopper, painted with Scalecoat II ATSF Mineral Red paint and lettered with Champ Decals, continuing on building up my fleet of NYC System hoppers, in the 50’s the NYC painted their hopper in boxcar red hues before reverting back to black paint.

Proto 2000 Double Door Boxcar kit, painted with ATSF Mineral Red paint and lettered with Champ Decals, this is a pre-WWII car that was used in various services on the ATSF.

Three Athearn GP9’s with a coal drag, operating on the Strongsville Railroad Club layout.

Thanks for looking!

Peter, thanks for starting off another WPF!

I found an N scale streetcar that looks like the ones in New Orleans. It still needs some work on the top electrical parts, and it doesn’t run real smoothly, but it does go back and forth between two stations automatically.

Thanks for starting us out with that cool photo at the wharf Peter.
Always liked those black BN cars.

Great looking stuff Rick, John :+1:

A few framing pics of removable module #1 of 3, on a mining horseshoe idea.

The straight will have an ore tipple one day.

More photos please :slightly_smiling_face:

Peter, you are such the Bard! I hope to be able to contribute here by Sunday. We (my brother in law partner) hope to complete a project tomorrow. If so, I’ll post pics.

Regards, Chris

It’s one of those incredibly simple things but it improves the look by quite a bit by simply painting the window frames.

Also working on improving these 3 bridges by mounting them to wood picture frame pieces with the goal of raising the bridges enough to get the GG-1 through with a pantograph raised.

Repainting this little Bermuda Cutter and trying to make it look less like something you buy in a gift shop home decor section and more like something you would see on a model railroad. The hull will be orange below the waterline and will have white pinstripes (I hope :crossed_fingers:). Maybe orange sails.

Missing one and I am still kicking myself for not buying it when they were released, but I am happy with the three I have.

Good morning

Hi Brent. I’ve done that a few too many times, or didn’t do it for that matter

This Great Northern Overton passenger car set is getting higher in price, do to demand and availabilty. I’m missing 1 of 4 in the set.

They could easily be painted to look better since GN is seperated in black.
Era correct that is light enough to pull behind a 4-4-0 is a tough find in N scale.

Here’s the one I’m missing.

eBay

The sellers split the sets for a higher price. Looking for a good deal for years, one was in my cart for 20 bucks, free shipping. What was there to think about?

Minutes later…GONE!

First model i have painted since I was a kid (many years ago). It didn’t come out perfect but fairly nice. Pain for my fictional freelance rail road. Now i just need to get some decals made.

Nice job Asardaro. The masking is very good and I like the color scheme.

Good afternoon

I’ll go along with Rich and Joe on that one. Looking really good man. Once you get those decals on Asardaro, it’ll look Sweet! :+1:

Any forum member can post any photo, as long as it has to do with model railroading.

If Ol’ TF gets away with posting a bunch of sliced up, chopped up, unfinished and unpainted pink foam. Anyone can post a pic.

Common! Don’t be shy, give-er a try.
More pictures please

Great work here from everyone, as usual!

Sometimes the modeling takes a turn for the whimsical. Was finishing off a building flat and couldn’t decide what to do with the prominent windows, and then a Led Zeppelin song came on the radio and I thought, hmmm, those look a lot like the windows from the Physical Graffiti album …

Wow great fotos this week nice work everyone.
@pennytrains I have to agree about the red paint on the window frames. There is an old steam engine in Jasper a mountain tourist kinda town near by and a few years ago they repainted the frames and really it stepped up the whole situation.

@Track_Fiddler you need to share some tips on pink rock foaming that looks incredibly awesome. Tell me is it mostly smaller pieces all carved to fit in there or are you carving it out of a complete piece. Im happy with the layered look i have on this side of my mountain and think i can paint it is a kinda badlands colour scheme to make it work out good.

But i am not totally pleased with the way this side is shaping up. As i want to transition to a less layered look as i come around the corner and into a new scene on my layout.

Kim, here is the first video I ever watched on making extruded foam mountains.

Yup, they look great when done.
