The Weekend Photo Fun Bus is here
Come on aboard and post a picture
Gets us to our destination quicker
Just had to have one of Rapido’s latest Fishbowl Buses,’ and in the AC Transit livery that ‘welcomes me back’ to the bygone days of middle school transportation and downtown excursions.
Glad it was easier to unbox than the prototype.

Good morning from cloudy, cool and rainy Northeast Ohio!
Finished a couple of cars this week.
First a Branchline 40’ 1944 AAR Boxcar with 4/4 ends and a 7’ door, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red paint and lettered with Tichy Decals with an added K4 decal that was needed but Tichy missed. General Service car added WWII.
Second a prepainted Tichy Car lettered with Mask Island Decals (Now Highball Graphics). Another postwar boxcar, but this one is only 10’ inside height.
Last week I took my U25B (Stewart Kato), C-424 (Atlas Kato), and GP35 (Kato) engines to the club with a Wabash General freight train.

Finished my second full size laser cut kit this week. It replaces the similar looking Walthers plastic kit.

As you may have noticed I like playing around with photos to see what I can create. This one was sitting on top of a high bookcase
The hardest part was concealing the sharp line where the wall met the ceiling in the background.

In case you’re wondering, it’s the episode where they encounter the computer salesman on an abandoned planet that’s trying to sell them a weapons system that gets smarter.

Salvaged locos. The Conrail was originally a Marx “Warbonnet” Sante Fe in hideous condition. The newly reborn Army loco was originally a blue Lionel Sante Fe, which had been electrically gutted. I run these guys

Thanks for opening the first of May WPF, Peter!
I see a painting and decal project in my future:

I didn’t even know I needed a PRR K9a on my roster but eBay twisted my arm!

It was at a bargain price. Now for decals?

Thnx TF. I’m not real happy with the coloring/weathering on the multiple roofs. Will have to work on that a bit.
Regards, Chris
Rick, Nice boxes, so too the trio of blue heavy hauling.
Chris, Good looking elevator. Nothing looks more like wood than wood, though there are those like Doctor Wayne and the late Hminky who constantly fooled my eye with their skill and talent in turning plastic into wood. Speaking of wood, I like Simon’s log haulers.
Artful, pennytrains. Digital cameras and editing software sure are great.
TheMarxist, Real nice paint job on the USAX locomotive, very cool to be running those classics and keeping the maque alive. My Pop’s Marx set around our Christmas tree back in the 50s sure did spur my imagination.
Ed, Scratching my head wondering what does that unusual, yet striking car haul, automobiles or animals? A little goggle told the story.
Thanks to all the contributors and viewers. Have a good week ahead. Regards, Peter

I like to change toys into what I think a child sees. So an 18" tall bridge becomes a little bit scary towering structure.
