Got a couple of more cars done this week!
Bowser 1958CF Covered Hopper kit, painted with Scalecoat II UP Hopper Car Gray paint and lettered with Herald King Decals. The Ann Arbor leased these cars from Chicago Freight Car (CRDX) to replace the 100 - !00Ton covered hoppers from the DT&I that went away after Conrail. They also leased some covered hoppers from the P&LE.
Next a Proto 2000 50’ Boxcar kit, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red #3 and Grimy Black paints then lettered with K4 decals. These loader equipped cars were used in general service on the “Q”.
Last week I took a pair of Scaletrains GP40’s to the club along with a 22 car covered hopper trains of PC covered hoppers.
