Great Pics everyone!
Coal train, I see your work over on the Atlas forum and it just looks better every time I look at it!
Here’s a few projects that I’m working on:
I just finished the rockwork around the mine site and had to add a few trees and pose a train. All the mine has right now it the ore hopper and a shaft going into the mountain side, I still have to build the platform and roof going to the ore hopper.
Heres the other project that I just finished. Its an athearn F-7 that I pieced together from spare parts in my surplus athearn box. It’s for a friend who’s just getting into model railroading and needed a reliable and cheap engine. I added a winter hatchand windows. All the grab irons were bent out of piano wire (trust me use brass!) . the paint and railroad was his idea and I did the best I could with it.
Great pics everyone as always, gets better every week.
Some older pics I dug out just to stay in touch till next WPF.
Have fun & be safe.

Fantastic work, guys!!!
AC4400fan, those are some great looking buildings. The random ground foam looks good too.
The Sedalia Local rolls past the yard tower on it’s morning run.
While it pales in comparrison to the craftmanship above. Here is my first contribution to the weekend photo fun.
Please use your imagination and petend it looks like this.[:D]
Thanks guys.[:)]
Jacob
Thanks for the pic, Jacob. Imagination is where a layout starts!
Here’s how it looks on the layout. Dave
Now that all the plywood is down I have started on risers. I glued the pieces of the risers together first so I get a smooth curve. This is about a 40" radius going up a 2% grade. I would have done more but this is all the bricks I could find.

Great photos everyone! THanks!
Here’s a pic of the yards I’m starting on the Heather Creek RR.

the water tower and handcar shack look great . i think it’s very cool that you’re modeling the ‘Senic Cement’ factory too . i wondered where that stuff came from
How about a construction shot or two?
Here’s a friend cutting cork roadbed (you won’t find any photos of me - I break camera lenses):
This is the west end of Minneapolis Staging Yard under construction:
Here’s the latest shot of the Laurel interchange yard. The small engine terminal has been sketched out on the cork.
Better late than never…Didn’t work on the layout this weekend…been feel’in kind of puny and too many honey do’s…East bound freight…
opps…wrong picture

That’s where it comes from… all of the Scenic Cement in the world comes
from my layout. It’s really hard to keep up with the demand… an HO scale
tank car only holds so much. [:)] Dave
