Weekend project – Water Tower

Weekend project – Water Tower

We took one of Dave’s ideas of making a water tower. Dave made his from scratch, I used a K-line water tower for the base. [8D]

by cutting popsicle sticks and gluing them to the sides of the water tower

Tom, that’s looking good ! I’ve been working on a storage tank & plan to paint it silver & try to get some oil company decals for it, & add piping & steps or a ladder. It is just a 5" PVC coupling I found. I have to make a roof yet. open to suggestions [:)]

Looking good Tom. Now if you can just figure out how to get it to dispense smoke fluid, or if TAS’ll sell the guts to the smoke fluid tower they are/were working on.

Great job Tom. Finished my GP9 project too.

Excellent job Tom, way to go. That’s what I like about this forum, useful stuff[:D]

Went to the Good Guys Car show at the State Fairgrounds, UNBELIEVABLE! Over 3500 custom/hot rods/muscle cars on display with bright sun shine and low humidity. I thought about taking the camera and didn’t, probably OK… where do you start? I’m ready to sell all the trains and buy a hot rod!!! OR, try and find another '68 Road Runner. If this event ever comes within 200 miles of your home, GO!

I’m ready to bag it all and get a muscle car and relive my youth and do Route 66. Screw the cell phones/computers/answering machines, etc., give me back the early '60’s … except for that *** war.

Jon

Jon,

I would only have my dirver liesne for about 2 weeks if I still owned my RoadRunner. Even back in 69 I did way too much street racing, now that I know better.

Nice job, Tom. You can add some wood stain or just leave as is, as probably that’s how a new water tower would appear.
